Pewaukee, WI – November 9, 2019 – TOTAL Mechanical, Inc., a mechanical contractor headquartered in Pewaukee Wisconsin, announced today that they have again reached the milestone of working one million man-hours without a lost-time injury. This accomplishment is possible because of the entire organization’s commitment to safety.
This is the third time in a decade that TOTAL met this mark; the first was in 2011 and again in 2014. Since 2014 the employee base increased by fifty percent and the geographic footprint has grown with the additions of AGI Fabricators, Milwaukee, WI and Tri-Cor Mechanical, Janesville, WI. In a rather short period of time TOTAL integrated its safety culture throughout the expanded organization. Executive support and employee commitment to adopting TOTAL’s safety culture and practices, along with company growth, accelerated the process of reaching this mark. Hours worked and willingness to get on board by all divisions helped TOTAL reach the mark in the least amount of days – 629 days for 2019, 928 for 2014, and 796 for 2011.
TOTAL’s longest period without a lost-time injury is 1,341,095 man-hours and 1,124 Days. TOTAL intends to exceed both of these records and strive for the goal of zero injuries.
