Our commitment to safety includes a full-time safety director and a continuous education program to ensure that all employees stay up-to-date on safety procedures and the latest protective equipment needed to keep them and the job site safe. Safety protocols are administered and supervised by our TOTAL Safety Review Board, a team consisting of union and non-union office and field personnel. Project Manager - MEP
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you are responsible for the successful installation of commercial construction projects. Some of the key activities that you will perform in this role are:
- Project Preparation. Obtain detailed understanding of assigned projects (contract specifications, terms, scope, alternates, estimated costs and planned installation methods). Turnover meeting from sales to project management. Prepare project documentation packet for field.
- Project Management. Manage contracts to estimate and construction schedule. Establish project metrics and report progress against metrics to Company management. Ensure that all assigned projects meet the Company’s and customer’s quality and safety expectations. Acquire all necessary permits, bonds, licenses and registrations. Arrange for all necessary job inspections. Document inspection activities and results. Coordinate job labor with Superintendents. Clearly communicate expectations regarding installation methods, equipment delivery and job schedules to Superintendents and foremen. Purchase necessary equipment/material. Coordinate delivery of equipment/material to project. Contract and schedule subcontractors for projects. Ensure that subcontractors are meeting Company standards of performance, quality, schedule and safety. Represent Company at all construction/coordination meetings as required by the customer.
- Customer relations. Maintain the Company’s relationships with current customers. Develop relationships with new customers. Educate current and potential customers about Company’s competencies.
- Turn Overs” and Project Preparation. Prepare initial project documentation for “turning over” project to operations. Participate fully in “turn over” process to ensure that all parties have a complete understanding of project and contract.
- Project Financials. Monitor project financial performance. Forecast project cost at completion for monthly WIP meetings. Approve equipment/material/subcontract invoices in a timely manner. Invoice customers in accordance with the contract and Company guidelines. Participate in collection issues as requested by Finance.
You will bring to the position:
- Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
- Years of Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience managing or directing work groups in a construction environment.
- Certificates/Licenses: Valid driver’s license. Satisfactory driving record.
- Leadership Skills: This position requires the ability to build winning teams; effectively coach, delegate and motivate employees; the ability to pass skills and knowledge onto others; the ability to communicate clear directions and drive team objectives; and the composure to represent the Company favorably under all circumstances.
- Technical Skills: This position requires proficiency in commonly used construction terms, tools, concepts and practices; proficiency in industry safety practices, procedures and equipment; the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints; proficiency in basic financial terms and concepts; and proficiency with general office and project management software (preferably Spectrum).

Designer - Fire Protection
As a Fire Protection Designer, you are responsible for preparing, reviewing and evaluating design drawings for fire protection systems. Some of the key activities that you will perform in this role are:
- Understand Project and Equipment. Gain a thorough understanding of assigned projects. Review project specifications, proposal, addendums, engineering drawings and all other information pertinent to the project. Meet with customers or visit job site to verify specifications. Gain thorough understanding of the equipment used on the project and effectively incorporate that equipment into the design.
- Design Project. Develop detailed design drawings utilizing computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment. Evaluate designs for code compliance, appearance, safety, function, budget, and production costs. Recommend design improvements. Identify to owners, opportunities to add value to projects. Maintain specified design schedule. Perform all necessary calculations. Determine performance standards and material selection based on required calculations. Attend job coordination meetings as requested.
- Project Documentation. Maintain the documentation for all job coordination issues. Provide other project information/documentation as requested. Provide information to complete permit/plan review. Generate record drawings, “cut sheets”, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings. Archive drawings (approved plans, pertinent architectural plans, civil plans) in electronic format.
- Maintain CAD System. Maintain/update CAD system to ensure maximum efficiency/accuracy is achieved.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Company best practices.
You will bring to the position:
Technical Skills: This position requires proficiency with commonly used mechanical (HVAC/plumbing/fire protection/controls) concepts, practices and procedures; proficiency with applicable building codes and industry installation practices; the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints; the ability to utilize computer to perform tasks; and proficiency in the use of general office software computer-assisted drafting programs (AutoCad/SprinkCad).

CAD Designer - Janesville Office
As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for coordinating, designing, and formatting computer-aided design (CAD) drawings. Some of the key activities that you will perform in this role are:
- Understand Projects. Thoroughly understand assigned projects. Review project specifications, proposal, addendums, engineering drawings and all other information pertinent to project. Visit job sites, if necessary, to gain appropriate project orientation. Attend coordination meetings as needed.
- Generate Drawings. Generate detailed drawings utilizing computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment. Field sketches and fabrication drawings are covered work by local bargaining members.
- Project Documentation. Provide other project information/documentation as requested. Provide information necessary for plan review/permit. Manage plan review process. Provide “cut sheets” and shop fabrication drawings as requested. Archive drawings (approved plans, pertinent architectural plans, civil plans, etc) in electronic format.
- Maintain/update CAD system to ensure maximum efficiency/accuracy is achieved.
You will bring to the position:
- Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED. Or member in good standing of applicable local bargaining unit.
- Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5+ years of CAD experience.
- Certificates/Licenses: Valid driver’s license. Satisfactory driving record.
- Technical Skills: This position requires proficiency with general office and Autodesk Revit software; knowledge of commonly used industry concepts, practices, and procedures; knowledge of applicable building codes and industry installation practices; and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
