Safety protocols are administered and supervised by our TOTAL Safety Review Board, a team consisting of union and non-union office and field personnel. Current Opportunities

Accounts Payable Coordinator

As the Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will be responsible for recording and paying all vendor invoices in accordance with Company guidelines. Some of the key activities that you will perform in this role are:

  • Vendor Invoices.  Compiles and reviews accounts payable documents. Prepares document batches for processing. Matches invoices received to purchase orders.  Obtains approvals for the payment of invoices based on established Company guidelines.  Enters accounts payable transactions into financial system.  Edits batches, computes discounts, prepares vouchers, and remits payments.
  • Accounts Payable Processes.  Administers invoice approval processes according to established guidelines.  Processes exceptions in a timely manner.  Follows up with project managers for approvals.  Ensures processes are being adhered to.
  • Purchase Orders. Enters field purchase orders into our accounting software.
  • Vendor Statements.  Verifies vendor statements for accuracy and investigates problems.
  • Vendor Maintenance. Maintains vendor records.  Tracks 1099, discount, subcontract and employee vendor classes.  Answers vendor and employee inquiries.  Accurately and reliably places orders or vendors on “hold” based upon Project Manager authority.

You will bring to the position:

  • Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 to 2 years general accounting office experience.
  • Technical Skills: This position requires proficiency with general office and accounting software (excel and accounting software required; Spectrum preferred); and knowledge of general financial terms, concepts and calculations.
  • Personal/Interpersonal Competencies: This position requires strong problem solving and analytical skills; the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment; the ability to make commitments and be willing to be held accountable against them; the ability to organize workloads to meet deadlines; the adaptability to accept change when needed; exceptional written and verbal communication skills, the ability to excel in a team environment and advance overall team objectives; the ability to ensure customer satisfaction by delivering excellence in products and service; and high standards for ethical conduct.

This is a full-time, entry-level, non-exempt position.  Business hours are 6:00am to 4:30pm with flexibility to schedule shift between these hours

Box Truck Driver

As a Box Truck Driver, you responsible for material and equipment deliveries and returns.  Some of the key activities that you will perform in this role are:

  • Load work vehicles with material and equipment.  Deliver in accordance with directions.  Assist in unloading of deliveries. 
  • Material Handling. Operate forklift to transport material within the warehouse.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Company best practices.   
  • General Warehouse. Assist in miscellaneous warehouse duties as needed.
  • Trailering. Capable of trailering items to and from job sites.

You will bring to the position:

  • Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Years of Relevant Work Experience: 0-1 years warehouse experience in a contracting environment is preferred. Will train the right candidate.
  • Certificates/Licenses: Forklift certification; valid driver’s license; satisfactory driving record.  CDL may be required of some drivers.
  • Physical Job Requirements: Required to sit, stand and move throughout company facilities.  Must be able to perform job responsibilities in an industrial, construction site and general outdoor environment around heavy machinery and equipment.  Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. 
  • Technical Skills: This position requires knowledge of commonly used mechanical contracting terms and tools; and knowledge of industry safety practices and equipment.

Residential Labor Coordinator

As a Labor Coordinator for our Residential Division, you will be responsible for taking all residential HVAC, Electrical and plumbing service calls and dispatching the appropriate service personnel. Some of the key activities that you will perform in this role are:

  • Take Service Calls.  Take customer requests.  Gain thorough understanding from customer of nature of problem or request. Evaluate urgency.  Prioritize requests.  Enter work order into the accounting system.  Enter customer and/or location in accordance with Company guidelines. 
  • Dispatch Technicians.  Match customer needs and/or location to available service technicians.  Contact technicians.  Communicate customer requirements. 
  • Technician Information.  Maintain contact with all technicians.  Track technician locations and call progress.  Record information received from technicians.  
  • Record Keeping.  Enter maintenance contracts into the accounting system.  Create service start up and balancing reports.    

You will bring to the position:

  • Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 to 5 years service dispatch experience.
  • Leadership Skills: This position requires the composure to represent the Company favorably under all circumstances.
  • Technical Skills: This position requires proficiency with general office and service management software (excel and Spectrum preferred); and knowledge of HVAC service mechanical terms, tools, concepts and practices.

Residential Construction Sales

As a Residential Construction Sales, you are responsible for acquiring new accounts and/or projects in accordance with Company sales and profit objectives.  Some of the key activities that you will perform in this role are:

  • Customer relations. Maintain the Company’s relationships with current customers. Develop relationships with new customers. Educate current and potential customers about Company’s competencies.
  • New Business. Identify, develop and generate new business activity. Estimate projects/contracts in accordance with customer definitions/plans. Achieve customer expectations regarding turnaround time for quotes/bids/proposals. Obtain bid bonds when necessary. Negotiate contracts in accordance with Company policies and objectives. Review resulting customer contracts. Ensure that contracts properly represent negotiated terms. Prepare contracts for Division Manager signature. Obtain risk management review of indemnification clauses.
  • Turn Overs” and Project Preparation. Prepare initial project documentation for “turning over” project to operations. Assist designer/CAD Operator in preparation of project drawings. Participate fully in “turn over” process to ensure that operations has a complete understanding of project and contract. 
  • Project Monitoring. Monitor projects for continued compliance with contract terms and to ensure that customer expectations are being met. Assist in the identification, pricing and negotiation of change orders as requested by the project manager. Participate in resolution of customer complaints or concerns as requested. Assist in collection issues as requested by Finance.
  • Training. Keep current on vendor equipment updates and enhancements.

You will bring to the position:

  • Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Years of Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
  • Certificates/Licenses: Valid driver’s license. Satisfactory driving record.
  • Physical Job Requirements: Required to sit, stand and move throughout Company facilities. Must be able to perform job responsibilities in an industrial, construction site and general outdoor environment around heavy machinery and equipment. Ability to lift 60lbs. Must be able to use/climb ladder to perform job responsibilities.

Project Manager - Residential Construction

As a Residential Construction Sales, you responsible for successful installation of residential construction projects. Some of the key activities that you will perform in this role are:

  • Project Preparation. Obtain detailed understanding of assigned projects (contract specifications, terms, scope, alternates, estimated costs and planned installation methods). Turnover meeting from sales to project management. Prepare project documentation packet for field.
  • Project Management. Manage contracts to estimate and construction schedule. Establish project metrics and report progress against metrics to Company management. Ensure that all assigned projects meet the Company’s and customer’s quality and safety expectations. Acquire all necessary permits, bonds, licenses and registrations. Arrange for all necessary job inspections. Document inspection activities and results. Coordinate job labor with Superintendents. Clearly communicate expectations regarding installation methods, equipment delivery and job schedules to Superintendents and foremen. Purchase necessary equipment/material. Coordinate delivery of equipment/material to project. Contract and schedule subcontractors for projects. Ensure that subcontractors are meeting Company standards of performance, quality, schedule and safety. Represent Company at all construction/coordination meetings as required by the customer.
  • Customer relations. Maintain the Company’s relationships with current customers. Develop relationships with new customers. Educate current and potential customers about Company’s competencies.
  • Turn Overs” and Project Preparation. Prepare initial project documentation for “turning over” project to operations. Participate fully in “turn over” process to ensure that all parties have a complete understanding of project and contract.
  • Project Financials.  Monitor project financial performance.  Forecast project cost at completion for monthly WIP meetings.   Approve equipment/material/subcontract invoices in a timely manner.  Invoice customers in accordance with the contract and Company guidelines.  Participate in collection issues as requested by Finance. 

You will bring to the position:

  • Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Years of Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience managing or directing work groups in a construction environment.
  • Certificates/Licenses: Valid driver’s license. Satisfactory driving record.
  • Leadership Skills: This position requires the ability to build winning teams; effectively coach, delegate and motivate employees; the ability to pass skills and knowledge onto others; the ability to communicate clear directions and drive team objectives; and the composure to represent the Company favorably under all circumstances.
  • Technical Skills: This position requires proficiency in commonly used construction terms, tools, concepts and practices; proficiency in industry safety practices, procedures and equipment; the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints; proficiency in basic financial terms and concepts; and proficiency with general office and project management software (preferably Spectrum).
