These check-ups will keep your equipment operating at the highest levels of efficiency and increase the life of your equipment. If you think you need to call us for repairs, please check the following first...
- Make sure the thermostat is in the heat or cool position.
- Set thermostat to desired temperature.
- Make sure switch at furnace is in the on position by turning it off and then back on.
- Check for blown fuses, tripped circuit breakers or open disconnect switches.
- Check filter for accumulation of dirt (replace as needed).
- For air conditioning, check the outside disconnect to make sure it is in the on position.
- For heating, check the gas shut off valve on the gas line and inside the unit.
- For heating, check for snow or leaves in flue pipes (on high efficiency units).
- If you have a flexible drain hose to the floor, make sure it is not kinked or rolled up.
Helpful Hints for your home:
- Clean or replace filters regularly.
- Keep registers and grilles open and unblocked.
- If you have a setback thermostat, do not set back more than 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
- For maximum comfort, set fan in the “ON” position for constant continuous air circulation and filtering.
